IFA Development Programme

The IFA programme was formed to enhance the sustainability of the industry by developing the strategic distribution channels for both IFA Support and IFA Internship. Focusing on business development support to select empowered IFA’s in order to equip their businesses with practical practice management toolkits, skills and knowledge to build the industry distribution capability also providing high potential, early career empowered individuals with the opportunity to participate in an internship with a selected top performing IFA in a structured programme with a powerful combination of theoretical knowledge and practical work experience.

Liberty Blue Skies Intermediary Development Programme

Under Liberty’s Blue Skies banner launched two broker programmes; the Liberty Blue Skies Intermediary Development Programme and the Liberty Blue Skies Black-Woman-Owned Intermediary Development Programme. These programmes are focused on providing support to black-owned intermediaries with the aim of enhancing Liberty’s and the industry’s distribution channels and enhancing the development on black-woman-owned brokerages through customized business development support.

Masithuthuke & Masibambane Broker Initiative

MMI, in partnership with the ASISA ED fund, has launched two Broker development programmes, the Masibambane Broker development initiative and the Masithuthuke Broker development initiative. Aimed at growing the quality of black brokers in South Africa’s insurance industry, these programmes identified 8 brokers each, with all selected Brokers receiving business development support.

OUTsurance

OUTsurance is proud to launch its Enterprise and Supplier Development Programme named Kwande, loosely translated means “to multiply”. The Kwande Programme, aims to empower and develop small black owned businesses across its value chain. These businesses include; panel beaters, tow truck businesses, builders, plumbers, electricians and other artisans. The programme provides both financial and non-financial support to businesses.

Sanlam ESD Programme

Sanlam’s Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Programme was initiated in July 2013 to support the growth and development of small and medium enterprises linked to Sanlam’s supply chain and distribution networks. The programme targets the creation of shared value for Sanlam, the Industry and South Africa by providing best practice Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) support, demonstrating Sanlam’s commitment to uplifting South Africa by promoting sustainable development and job creation.

Stockbroker Programme

The Stockbroker Programme is an industry initiative initiated by the ASISA ED Fund in partnership with Coronation, Investec, Liberty, Old Mutual, Prudential and Sanlam. The aim is to provide business development support to selected black Stockbrokers in order to create a sustainable business, development of employees and provide superior service delivery on the trade executions. The program entails one on one sessions with industry specialists as well as tailored workshops based on leading business development practices. This process will ensure continuous feedback between the Stockbrokers and the Sponsors.
